I enjoyed watching you all dissect an egg! Think of how the egg represented a model. The characteristics of the egg and the different layers. For homework, make sure you have your egg lab sheet in your science folder. For 3rd and 4th period, answer questions 1-5.

Make sure you all study for your quiz tomorrow! The quiz will be counted as a summative; so make sure you use all your notes to study. See you all tomorrow! We will be having a quiz on Friday, 2/16/18. Use your notes to help you study for your quiz. We will be completing our soil station lab tomorrow. Many of you have been doing a great job in identifying the soil type! Tomorrow, we will continue to discuss soil.
See you all tomorrow! For those of you that did not finish your questions that went along with the article, "How Soils Form?"; make sure you complete the questions for homework. The article and the questions are located in Unit 6: weathering and erosion. Next week , we will be doing plenty of activities centered around soil! I can't wait for you guys to explore the different characteristics of soil.

Since we have completed our station rotations, we will complete our notes. I know I told many of you that the test will be Tuesday; however due to our station rotations, we will have our test on Wednesday! I want to ensure that you all are successful on the test. Many of you all did extremely well on our quiz today! We have been discussing different land surfaces; such as Pigeon Mountain in Georgia, The Grand Canyon in Arizona, Panola Mountain in Georgia, Balancing Rock in Colorado, and Black Sand Beach in Hawaii. We have compared and contrasted these various landforms' characteristics and given presentations regarding their characteristics; such as how they were formed, how they have changed over time, the age of the landforms, and the composition of the landforms! As we are getting more in depth with unit 5, our Dynamic Earth, the more you will learn about our amazing planet. Also, I know many of you are interested in the AMAZING experience of traveling to the Galapagos Island!!!!!
